Credit Note Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1o July 2026
1.Application of these terms
These terms apply to credit notes issued by Nook Collections for approved return scenarios. They set out how that credit may be used. We recommend reviewing our returns policy in conjunction with the general terms.
2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
These terms do not exclude, restrict, or modify your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law. If a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, or not as described, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair, and these entitlements apply instead of the terms below. Where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, we will not require you to accept store credit in its place.
3. Eligibility (change-of-mind and ordering-error returns)
We are not obliged to accept returns for change of mind or ordering errors, but may do so at our discretion for eligible stocked items where all of the following are met:
-
the return is requested within 14 days of delivery;
-
the item is unused and not installed;
-
the item is returned in its original packaging; and
-
the item is returned in saleable condition.
Made-to-order, customised, and specially imported items are not eligible for change-of-mind or ordering-error returns.
4. Return authorisation and freight
All returns must be authorised by Nook Collections before the item is sent back. Return shipping is arranged and paid for by the customer. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in return transit.
5. Restocking fee and credit value
Where a change-of-mind or ordering-error return is approved and the item is confirmed in saleable condition, a 30% restocking fee applies. The remaining 70% of the product value is issued as store credit. Store credit is calculated on the value of the product only and does not include freight or delivery charges.
6. Validity of store credit
Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and is held against your customer account.
7. Using your store credit
To redeem store credit, a new order is placed and the credit is applied to the order total. Standard freight charges apply to the new order. If the new order exceeds the value of your credit, the difference is payable at the time of ordering. If the order is less than your credit, the remaining balance stays on your account until its expiry.
8. General
Store credit issued under these terms is non-transferable, is tied to your customer account, and is not redeemable for cash. (This does not apply to any refund you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.)
9. Questions
If you have any questions about your store credit or these terms, please contact our team on info@nookcollections.com.au or 02 8959 4462 - we're happy to help.
