Description:
The Dune Horizontal Pendant Light is a captivating lighting fixture with a unique amorphous shape. Created by Mayice, a Madrid-based design studio, the Dune is composed of a single piece of hand-blown borosilicate glass, which encloses a wood veneer diffuser with a seedpod-like opening on one side. The glass is skillfully blown by artisan Eduardo Garuti, who is able to reveal the natural beauty found in glass with great dexterity and mastery. The Dune's distinct shape comprises two symmetrical ends and an irregular, bulb-shaped center that houses the lamp's dimmable LED light source. The downward light emitted through the seedpod-like opening is softened by the glass, which adds to the fixture's allure. Each Dune lamp is one-of-a-kind, with its unique imperfections in the hand-blown glass, almost wabi-sabi in quality, making it resemble a piece of art.
