First Insights into Salone del Mobile 2025
Nook Collections is delighted to announce that we will be attending the Salone del Mobile 2025! We’re incredibly excited to witness firsthand the exceptional showcases from our own brands and countless other innovative creators from around the globe. Below, we’ve summarised the newly released information from Salone del Mobile, offering a glimpse into two of its most anticipated highlights: the communication campaign “Thought for Humans” and the debut of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum. These initiatives reflect the Salone's enduring commitment to creativity, sustainability, and human-centered design.
Thought for Humans: A Campaign Rooted in Humanity
The 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano launches the campaign “Thought for Humans”, created by Dentsu Creative Italy. This campaign reminds us of the fundamental purpose of design: to serve humanity by addressing everyday needs, values, and experiences. It emphasises that every piece of design on display is crafted not just for utility but to enhance the quality of life by harmonising body, material, and space.
Central to this vision is the concept of connected intelligences. Design is not a solitary endeavor—it is a dialogue among diverse disciplines, technologies, and perspectives. These interconnections fuel collective creativity, enabling the creation of sustainable, innovative solutions. The campaign encapsulates this philosophy, advocating for a collaborative approach where humans are at the heart of all interactions.
Innovative photography by visual artist Bill Durgin takes this vision further. His work explores the synergy between materials like wood, metal, fabric, and bioplastics with human skin, embodying the message of sustainability and connection. These visuals resonate universally, breaking cultural and linguistic barriers, and positioning Salone del Mobile as a global cultural platform that constantly innovates and evolves.
The Euroluce International Lighting Forum: A Beacon of Innovation
Making its debut in 2025, the Euroluce International Lighting Forum represents a new chapter in the art and culture of light. Scheduled for April 10-11, the forum complements the Euroluce exhibition, offering a rich program of conferences, round tables, and workshops aimed at redefining the paradigms of lighting design.
This two-day event will explore light beyond its practical applications, highlighting its transformative potential as an expressive and innovative medium. Internationally acclaimed guests include:
- Robert Wilson, a trailblazing theatre and visual artist.
- DRIFT, an art and design collective merging technology and nature.
- A.J. Weissbard, an artist specialising in groundbreaking uses of light and space.
- Marjan van Aubel, a leader in solar design for sustainability.
- Kaoru Mende, a Japanese lighting designer known for his fusion of aesthetics and functionality.
The forum will delve into pressing themes such as the interplay of light with architecture and human well-being, offering fresh insights and tools to create sustainable and inclusive designs. Each future edition of the forum will focus on specific aspects of lighting, ensuring a continuous flow of inspiration for the design community.
As we look forward to Salone del Mobile 2025, Nook Collections is excited to be part of this vibrant conversation about the future of design. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach this iconic event!
